January 1
Jefferson sails into 2022 without Dr. Klasko at the helm, after 8 years of reimagining healthcare.
January 18
Jefferson Occupation Therapy students learn real-world skills, through Project HOME, while helping those in need.
February 1
Interim President for Thomas Jefferson University and CEO for Jefferson Health Rich Haverstick signs the final beam during the "Topping Off Ceremony" for the Jefferson Specialty Care Pavilion located at 1101 Chestnut Street.
February 10
Fashion design students Red Dress Project on display at Jefferson's East Falls campus. The red dress symbolizes efforts to raise awareness about heart health and support the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign. This is the 17th straight year students have participated.
March 18
For the first time since the pandemic began, Match Day is held in-person. Over 250 Sidney Kimmel Medical College students found out where they will be doing their residency programs after graduation.
March 21
Theresa May is the guest speaker of the Philadelphia Speaker Series, presented by Thomas Jefferson University, held at the Kimmel Center for the Preforming Arts. May served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2016-2019.
March 31
Thomas Jefferson University adjunct professor Dr. Aleksandr Kvasov poses for a photo in the Ravenhill Mansion on East Falls Campus. Kvasov, who was born in Russia, discusses the invasion of Ukraine and breaks down the potential local and global impacts for an episode of The Nexus Podcast.
April 4
Bill Nye, everyones favorite Science Guy, arrives at the Acorn Club for private dinner with benefactors before giving his lecture for the Philadelphia Speaker Series at the Kimmel Center for the Preforming Arts.
April 11
Sidney Kimmel Medical College Class of 2024 finally holds their White Coat Ceremony at the Crystal Tea Room after the event was postponed due to Covid rules and regulations.
April 13
Class of 2021 Jefferson Nursing College graduate Gianna Oldrati, who is now a trauma nurse at TJUH, poses for a photo. Oldrati was featured in an article about nursing students who helped ease the burden of the nationwide nursing shortage during the pandemic by participating in the Jefferson's Helping Hands program to meet her clinical course objectives.
April 29
The Class of 2022 holds their Class Toast on the Gutman Quad at the East Falls Campus.
May 2
TJUH Labor and Delivery department holds a ribbon cutting ceremony for their newly updated triage area.
May 6
Magee Rehabilitation holds their 22nd Annual Night of Champions at Penn's Landing Caterers. Proceeds benefit Magee's community and patient programs.
May 12, 13 and 25
Jefferson Commencement ceremonies are held at the Convention Center and Kimmel Center.

Campus wide celebrations continue as the school year comes to an end. The Neurology Department holds their annual Graduation Dinner outside at the Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill

Professor & Chair of the Department of Medical Oncology Dr. Neal Flomenberg's career is celebrated during a Portrait Presentation.
July 22
Sidney Kimmel Medical College Class of 2026 held their White Coat Ceremony at the Crystal Tea Room.
August 10
Jefferson's Landscape Architecture Program Director Kim Douglas, worked with members of the College of Architecture and the Built Environment and College of Population Health to create the Park in a Truck program. The program toolkit allows community members to transform empty lots into green spaces in underserved communities without the help of city funding.
August 18
Freshman move in and Convocation is held at East Falls Campus
September 6
Dr. Joe Cacchione takes over as CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health.
September 20
Jefferson innovators are celebrated during the 2022 Celebration of Innovation event, which showcases creativity, talents and inventive spirit of students and faculty.
October 7
A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony is held for the Frazier Family Coalition for Stroke Education and Prevention in the Allegheny West neighborhood in North Philadelphia.
October 13
Dr. Robert Perkel is celebrated during his Investiture Ceremony.
October 18
The Cardiology Department holds their annual group photo on the steps at 925 Chestnut.
November 2
Jefferson announces the new name of the specialty care pavilion, The Honickman Center, at 1101 Chestnut Street after receiving a $50 million gift from the Honickman family.
November 7, 8 and 9
Jefferson's College of Population Health holds their 22nd Annual Population Health Colloquium, in person for the first time since the pandemic began, at the Loews Hotel.
November 14
The 17th Annual Pancreatic Cancer and Related Diseases Patient Symposium is held in person for the first time since the pandemic started.
November 16
A portrait unveiling ceremony is held in Dr. Edith Peterson Mitchell's honor.
November 22
Thomas Jefferson University honors legendary college basketball coach Herb Magee, who retired this year after 54 seasons with the Rams, by dedicating its main basketball gym on East Falls campus in his name.
December 8
Architecture and Physical Therapy students combine efforts exploring movement, mobility and community for the Wyss Wellness Center Collaborative project reviews on East Falls campus.
