Hundreds attend the Jefferson Health Foundation New Jersey Gala held in Atlantic City at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa. The event raised nearly $600,000 and included a special performance by Kool & The Gang. Pictured speaking, Baligh Yehia, MD, became president of Jefferson Health at the end of 2022.

Match Day was held in Connelly Auditorium where 262 Sidney Kimmel Medical College students found out where they will be doing their residency programs after graduation

Sidney Kimmel Medical College holds their annual Alumni Weekend, complete with student-lead walking tours of Jefferson's campus.

Jane Fonda is the guest speaker at the Philadelphia Speaker Series.

The first members of the newly formed Jefferson Police are sworn in at City Hall.

Jefferson Women's Rowing Team competes in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta.

The Geriatrics Division Center for Healthy Aging Team has updated photos taken for their website and promotional materials.

Immersive Art for Wellbeing: A Deep Dive into Calm is held at Ravenhill Chapel on East Falls Campus. The instillation uses digital projection mapping to create a calming experience for students and staff.

A portrait unveiling ceremony is held in honor of Dr. Takami Sato. This portrait marks Jefferson's first portrait honoring an Asian American.

Sidney Kimmel Medical College holds their annual Curriculum Retreat at the Museum of the American Revolution. Dr. Said Ibrahim spoke during the retreat on his first day as the newly appointed Anthony F. and Gertrude M. DePalma Dean of SKMC.

Jefferson holds their 21st Annual Gala fundraiser at the Convention Center with over 900 attendees.

Fashion design students Red Dress Project on display at Jefferson's East Falls campus. The red dress symbolizes efforts to raise awareness about heart health and support the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Campaign. This is the 17th straight year students have participated.

For the first time since the pandemic began, Match Day is held in-person. Over 250 Sidney Kimmel Medical College students found out where they will be doing their residency programs after graduation.

Theresa May is the guest speaker of the Philadelphia Speaker Series, presented by Thomas Jefferson University, held at the Kimmel Center for the Preforming Arts. May served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2016-2019.

Thomas Jefferson University adjunct professor Dr. Aleksandr Kvasov poses for a photo in the Ravenhill Mansion on East Falls Campus. Kvasov, who was born in Russia, discusses the invasion of Ukraine and breaks down the potential local and global impacts for an episode of The Nexus Podcast.

Class of 2021 Jefferson Nursing College graduate Gianna Oldrati, who is now a trauma nurse at TJUH, poses for a photo. Oldrati was featured in an article about nursing students who helped ease the burden of the nationwide nursing shortage during the pandemic by participating in the Jefferson's Helping Hands program to meet her clinical course objectives.

Jefferson's Landscape Architecture Program Director Kim Douglas, worked with members of the College of Architecture and the Built Environment and College of Population Health to create the Park in a Truck program. The program toolkit allows community members to transform empty lots into green spaces in underserved communities without the help of city funding.

A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony is held for the Frazier Family Coalition for Stroke Education and Prevention in the Allegheny West neighborhood in North Philadelphia.

Jefferson announces the new name of the specialty care pavilion, The Honickman Center, at 1101 Chestnut Street after receiving a $50 million gift from the Honickman family.

Jefferson's College of Population Health holds their 22nd Annual Population Health Colloquium, in person for the first time since the pandemic began, at the Loews Hotel.

The 17th Annual Pancreatic Cancer and Related Diseases Patient Symposium is held in person for the first time since the pandemic started.

A portrait unveiling ceremony is held in Dr. Edith Peterson Mitchell's honor.
November 22
Thomas Jefferson University honors legendary college basketball coach Herb Magee, who retired this year after 54 seasons with the Rams, by dedicating its main basketball gym on East Falls campus in his name.

Architecture and Physical Therapy students combine efforts exploring movement, mobility and community for the Wyss Wellness Center Collaborative project reviews on East Falls campus.
